HMRC has published new Advisory Fuel Rates (AFRs), effective from September 1st
ELECTRIC CARS
AFR has been reduced by 1pence per mile (ppm), from 8p to 7ppm
DIESEL CARS
AFRs for diesel company cars have all decreased
A diesel company car with an engine size of more than 2000cc is cut from 20p to 18ppm
A diesel vehicle with an engine from 1601-2000cc is cut from 15p to 14ppm
And diesel cars up to 1600cc,is cut from 13p to 12ppm
PETROL CARS
All three rates for petrol company cars have also been cut
A petrol car up to 1400cc decreases from 14p to 13ppm
A petrol car between 1401-2000cc, decreases from 16p to 15ppm
Petrol engines over 2000cc, the AFR has been cut by 2ppm, from 26p to 24ppm
